*laugh* it depends largely on what you do with it. I use NeroVisions a lot, and the ability to sub-menu chapter stops and motion menus inside of motion menus + DVD-Audio and six-channel audio import are nice pluses.
I'll probably upgrade, though I'm not sure what cost it will be just yet. Nothing has changed with the main app in a while; though support of DL DVD-R discs in 6.6 was a big one for me; anymore, I use mostly DVD-R DL discs for backups; especially of graphic data exports + exchange exmerged PST backup. The support for Blueray discs in 7.0 could be significant. I've already got a hold order on a BRD-101A as soon as we can get their hands on them. While they aren't likely to replace SDLT or LTO, I've found that DVD media make for a much better "quick restoration" and "permanent storage" media then anything else. Nero's biggest additions in the past have been improved disc & drive support, etc. The biggest features in Version 7 I'll be looking for are: * chapter stop / rule changes in NeroVisions * 6 Channel Audio to DD5.1 stream encoding, and now 8 channel audio to DD-EX encoding * 128 bit encryption of written data for secured backups * Split & Merge DVD's to one DVD automatically * Nero BackitUp will now backup to FTP or remote storage * Bootable, restorable Backup DVD Creation tool * DVD-DL Seemless flip creation Now, are those features enough to make me buy? Depends on what the price is. Right now, Nero has the best game going in town, as far as any product I've seen. If the upgrade offer to me is reasonable, I'll pay. I have a tendency to buy and support software I find worthwhile; Nero is one of those.
