Track down the source of this story and you find that it is the Al-Eqtisadiah daily -  the Saudi governement newspaper.  A government that is worried about the increasing power base of the relevant religious groups.

Try as you might you cannot find ANY OTHER source for this story.  No western-media interviews with victims relatives, no other photos in other media, no nuthin'

Odd that?

As horrendously STUPID and TRAGIC such a chain-of-events would have been can you see the western media "letting go" of the bone so easily?

For the record, for whatever credence you want to give it, a member of my Mosque with relatives back there gives their account.  Thety say simply "it didn't happen". 

If you bother to follow up the western media reports, they all trace to the same Al-Eqtisadiah Daily.  Like I said, odd that.  Such a great chance to bash Islam, so where's the folllow-up?
