Thane,
Thanks for the look/see. Yes. But, color adds another extra cost with supplies.
I will drill down on the E360dn. Network is required.
Would like to end up with a printer that finally
does 10/1000tx. My printer is my last 'slow boat' on my lan ATM.
Looking..................:)
tnx,
Duncan

Thane,
Where you thinking of the E260d (p/n 34S0100)????
Duncan

Hi Duncan,
I'm not sure if the sale holds in the US, but both the E260d, E360d, and E460d are all on sale until the end of June for about half price (well, I guess no half, but it's signicantly off). Given that, I'd probably go with the E360d just because it's rated for 6000 pages per month compared to 2500 pages per month for the E260d. They are both decent printers, however. Heck, the C544dn is only $100 more than the E260d, and that'll give you colour as well.

Gaffer,
Caps again? Power supply? Darn! This never entered my thoughts.
Thank you.
I recall. But, trying to take this thing apart is a major pain. I think
this printer was built as a complete toss-away! I'll think some more.
Until the "GO" button fails, I can still get prints out of it ATM!

At this point, believe I will trundle the printer up the road to a Brother Certified service station (local). Yes, I suppose the repair bill may be
2x what I paid for the printer, but, I still have a spare drum module
and a spare toner cart. for it. And, I don't believe I can do a swap/return.

Am now looking at the Brother 5370DW as an upgrade/replacement.

If it were me, I'd look at Lexmark over Brother.
