LOL! Yes, Thane, I have never believed the MPG stickers either!

Can you share what kind of paper jam issues you see?

I ask because I have never had a paper jam in 4.5yrs. Even when
I try to do manual duplex jobs, I get full 'double-sheet' feeds w/o
a jam.
Yes, I am lusting for a printer that does do duplex. I do know about
the jinky mechanics needed to do this. But then I am sorta budget
shopping also. I did read the UM for the Lexmark E360dn and it has
a very nice schematic of its' feed/jam station logic. I finally see and
understand how table-top printers do duplex inside. Amazing! Use
crummy paper and you are screwed. This is very easy to see!

Duncan

Heh heh. True, but then again, nobody gets the MPG rating on cars either. :)

I did find it interesting that Lexmark sells its' replacement Drum kit for only $27US, yet Brother and others still stiff the users ~$80-$150US for theirs. I get it!

Man, I didn't look at the drum price. Granted that's only replaced at 25K or 30K pages, but still.

I sell both Brother and Lexmark, and we get a lot more paper jam issues with Brothers, but it is still a significant savings.
