Actually, given my experience with government agencies, I'd be shocked if governments had much information on individuals, or if they do, that it's easily accessible. I think the idea that the CIA and FBI are virtually infallible government agencies has arisen from TV shows more than reality. But even if they do, I'd rather the government have my personal information (because that's really part of the social contract) than some piece of crap business who has none of my best interests in mind.
