Bose has been a "fiasco" since the 1980s.

Anyone have any links to the 'Bose fiasco'? Every since I saw what
speakers they were using in their 901 systems back in the '70's, I've
avoided Bose.

Yes I do think that the general populace can be manipulated to the

Remember the Bose fiasco? If it were not for the Internet a lot of
people would think that they are the bees knees. But that being said
a lot of people still think that Bose is the best. I really think it
comes down to personality. I do extensive research on everything I
want to buy and make my own decisions.

I totally understand but at the same time I don't see what harm
Facebook can do for me. So what if they know my browsing habits. So
what if they have access to my pics. I never put anything über
personal on Facebook.
Even amazon tracks my purchases in sneaky ways and sends me
advertisement emails. I just choose to ignore them.
I think that most people (yourself quite possibly excluded) are
completely unaware of the subconscious ways advertisers market to
them, and therefore any ammunition you give them makes it that much
easier for them to get to you. Now sure, they probably can only get
you to buy something you don't need, but they might be able to get
you to vote differently than might otherwise vote.
