Tim,
Seems to me that if we have a wattage problem, then we have
either a Current problem, or a Voltage problem. P=IxE.
The wattage potential of a PSU is the PSU's maximum.
The current draw and stable voltage outputs vary over time,
and by dynamic (real-time) demand.
At least, this is what I see.
But, I agree. This does look like a 'current' problem.
Happy New Year!

I've actually seen it before where HD's were running funny due to not enough
power or current being sent to the hard drives.
Good luck and Happy New Year,

Subject: [H] WD Drive ?
Picked up a couple of WD Black 2tb drives a couple of months back,
recently installed and running but make funny noises.
Normal for these big drives or should I make sure I have replacements
in stock ? even though prices have almost doubled since I bought these.
I basically took a system drive and a data drive (and their backup
drives) and moved them to separate partitions on the new drives. Noise
bothers me. Short WD diagnostics say all is OK. Am going to run the
extended tests when I get a chance.
on a unrelated side after removing two drives off the PSU my video
problems seem to have gone away. Perhaps a power issue. PSU is a
Seasonic 650watt hohoho fp
