+1 on the original patch (HCAT-358.patch) - that, along with modifying
svn:externals on hive/ does get rid of the build dep on hive, and I'm able
compile, package, test, etc properly.
However, on the e2e end, I'm still having issues (with e2einstalled-2.patch) -
I'm having issues with compiling it for deploying, with it complaining about
not finding classes like BytesArrayRefWritable for the generator-compile target.
