We in the AEZ had a few yurts in the past. With walls made of diagonal
"fence" stakes, then putting cloth over them to create a windproof
wall. Same on the roof. Some of us even used reflective materials on
the outside. Those yurts were relatively cool as well. The more
airtight they were the better, it seemed to me. Plus, they look much
nicer usually on both out- and inside compared to hexayurts (you can
decorate a cloth wall much easier than the typical hexayurt walls).

Come visit the AEZ this year to have a look. There's actually a tour
through the village every morning (10am, I think) from tuesday on.
