Once upon a time .....
Years ago , the Pipers's convention
http://www.pipersgathering.org/index.shtml ( the w-site has been
sanitised , it is now HG free )
http://home.tiac.net/~cfiddle/northumb97.html
Was held at North Hero Vt . a group of HG and french bappipe players
used to gather
on the front porch of the hall , the event is now held in a proper
convention center where acces is
regulated . We also used to meet at the NEFFA , in Boston , playing
in stairs or in corridors .
The real thing was
http://www.prydein.com/vielle/vielle.html in Sharon Vermont , (
look at the photos , bottom of the page )
It is not easy to organise such an event ( I did it once ... ) it is
easier to join an already existing event .
Summer is very busy for musicians , it is easier to meet in fall (
Chants de Vielle ) or spring ( NEFFA )
Small week end events can be held at a private house , the " East
Coast HG Players " <g> once organised a
class with " Arty " ( Richard Taylor ) in Boston , it was a HG
only gathering , serious learning involved .
See you in september ? ( use the coup de 2 )

Subj: Players nearby? How aboout OTW East?
Dear Sasha, Dan, Jake, Melissa, Beverly, Nan, Henry, and all the rest:
There is a number of us in the Northeast - why not get together?
The newcomers, the oldtimers, and all. Let's meet, swap stories about
cottoning, tuning tangents, house breaking the dog (and training the
wrist), and more.
Hope you feel cooler where you are...
