Ok, last post. I think the posts have been concise and informative and, unless a strict traditionalist requiring music older than a certain date, have said as much as can be said. It's a "how long is a piece of string" debate anyway, isn't it? One person's idea of "Celtic music" may not be another's so we must agree to differ. As to Celtic areas, much more archaeology may yet redefine the boundaries. Let's leave "Celtic music" as just another musical genre which encompasses a wide repertoire which some of us may, or may not, agree to (Gosh, it's like the old "is it folk music" debates of the 60's). Thanks to those that have joined in a most interesting and stimulating debate.
