To all who've found ways to bolster the protection, of their flight cases, can you post some pics, or links to pics, so that I/We may see it please?

The 1660 might be too big. I use a Pelican 1650 for a simular luteback. It's aout the size of a suitcase. There is little space left in the lid to put
the foam.
In heavy-duty situation I put a steel tube on each side of the HG. The tube (a piece of tube with a round support welded on both sides, a round piece of protecting rubber glued on both sides, the length = the inner height of the case) acts as support, the lid can not dent so the HG can not be "crushed".
Doing this I can stand on the lid with the HG in the case.
Additional advantage in puddle jumping countries: Pelican cases float!!

Onderwerp: [HG] 1660 pelican flight case????

Greetings from Minnesota
So, is the 1660 Pelican case the case to purchase to use as a Flight
case for a luteback "Boudet" hurdy gurdy?
We need the flight case and are in question as far as if it has been
the "cats meow" for any lute back options for flight cases.
At pelican .com the price is $319.00 which does include the "pick N
pluck foam".
If I remember correctly someone at the over the Water festival had
flown with that case.
Living in Rural Minnesota, we have too many puddle jumper planes that
have zero overhead compartments to stash a luteback, so we must have
a flight case.
SO is the Pelican 1660 the one?
Thanks
