There is a lot of that stuff done already. I've done a script plugin to
change any cs/de/as/es (don't forget es ;-)) map into any of these
objectives. It changes over each round... Check out all the plugins over
at amxmod.net/forums
However changing to new objectives like CTF or whatever, well it's a bit
tougher but I guess you can trick the engine to do stuff like that
pretty easily.

It would be nice to script the game play.
I.E:

King of the hill map in Counter-Strike

One player is VIP and everyone else is a "T".

The VIP is in a fortress.

You can't do this with CS mod as it is.

The cs_ as_ de_ maps are getting boring.

If the mapper assigned names to all the spawns
(CT1, CT2 .... T1, T1)
Then the mapper could control scoring, game end etc...

exactly do you want to script? Every mod would need new commands anyway,
so maybe it is best to have mod coders create enough entities for
interesting maps. Or create a scripting system if the entity count is
capped under 200 like in a certain sci-fi mod ;)
