That writeup is out of date and in many cases wrong. Pending change lists: Subversion has a simple technique for not checking in changes to a particular file. Delete it from the working copy and add it to the ignore list, for example.
Defect tracking integration: Maybe at 1.0 it didn't but there are shit-tons now. Labeling: I can't mix file versions in labels, wahhh boo hoo cry some more. After that it's easy to make a working copy that has your different file revisions and then tag it. Branch tracking: Wrong, Subversion tracks branches and with 1.5 tracks merges too. Locking: Subversion didn't have this feature in 1.0 but it does now. I'm not saying SVN is better than Perforce, I really don't care actually because all the cool kids are using git now, but that document shouldn't be taken as authoritative.
