If you remember Sysop, I sent an email to the list a few months back asking
Valve for exactly that. They never responded. Here's a copy of the message
I sent:
Dear Valve (Eric Smith or Erik Johnson, since you both subscribe here),
Would you please explain to the concerned public why you won't work with
Tony and his team in making the PunkBuster system all it can be? If the
directive came from Gabe, if there are legal or political reasons involved,
Valve should at least publish some kind of public statement on the matter.
I think it's about time for this, don't you?
Please post Valve's official position regarding PunkBuster. It is my
opinion that the HL/DS community (not just Tony) has the right to know what
Valve's official stance on this issue is.
Thank you in advance for Valve's response on this issue.
Sincerely,
Stan Hoeppner
