Is this something new with source? HL1 does not require this, never has
AFAIK.

You have to tell the master-list what public IP your server are
presented at..
So in your server.cfg you should add this line:

IP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (your public ip)

Otherwise Source Dedicated server will get the IP from its interface
(LAN IP-address) and forward that to the master-list, which is a no-go.

Regards,
Sgt.Rock

PS: You should try to select the region your server is located in,
instead of "world" (sv_region 0)
Will help in getting your server shown to "local" players.

Emne: [hlds] Server isn't being shown on master list?

I've been running a Sourceforts Dedicated server recently, and I cannot
get it to show up on the master server list. Players can connect fine
if I give them the IP. It's getting quite annoying as the server sits
empty.

Server Config:
sv_lan 0
sv_region 0
srcds -game sourceforts -console +map sf_overload -noipx
Ports 27000-27999 and 1200 forwarded to my computer, both TCP and UDP
I've tried using the heartbeat command, with no luck. I can't use -ip
because the computer only has a lan IP, and there is _nothing_ I can do
to change that (The modem and router are combined, no getting rid of the
 router)

I'm out of things to try, any suggestions?
