This was posted at the steam forums by someone and I'm turning to you guys
for some help in sloving his problem. Here it is:

Hello,

This is related to Counter-Strike: Source.

I'm running them on a Dual Xeon 2.8Ghz with 2GB of RAM and 100Mbit uplink
(located at ThePlanet)

Below are some of the more important settings on the game servers:

- Max players, 26 for one, and 30 for the other
- tickrate 66
- sv_maxrate 25000
- sv_maxupdaterate 100
- fps_max 250 (about 170 in reality)
*edit* and source fps boost.

I've had no problems with the setup above for over a month now. They ran
smooth as silk, no complaints for anyone playing there. Also they were
perfect for the machine I'm running them on, kept CPU around 35-40% under
full load, and ram at 35% (used)

NOW, I updated, and it runs ok up until about 20 people - and by ok I mean
not as good as before, but playable. Once it goes over that (in either
server), the FPS drops to around 10. I don't mean just dipping to 10 here
and there, it will idle at 10-30FPS. When you're in game during that time,
you get as low as say 8-15 ticks in. It's just terrible. Also it's a fairly
popular office extended server and I don't want to ruin it's popularity with
this lag.

It's running CSP 1.1 and BeetleMod Beta w/fix (from last night).

I've taken both off with the same results so that is not the problem.

I know how easy it is to point the finger at valve on these sort of things
so I'm not doing that just yet.

Anyone know what the problem might be? Is anyone else having this problem?
I'm pretty much stumped so any help would be greatly appreciated.
