I'm constantly struggling with coming up with a rotation that includes new custom maps and official maps, while at the same time trying not to hurt server popularity.
Specifically, I run a TF2 server, but this question is probably general enough to apply to CS and other games. Does anyone here run a real popular server that runs a mixed rotation? It seems like all officials, and all customs have their niches, but a mixed server has a tougher time of it. I haven't run a custom map yet that doesn't alternately keep the server full, or the next time nearly empty the server out. Has anyone struck a good balance on this?
