You used to be able to place a 340x56 image at <svdownload_url>/gfx/banner.gif. Unless you are doing this professionally, you will find that organizing a group of people and keeping up with the money collection is too time consuming to be worth it. All one needs is a good $5-8/month shared hosting package. Search for highly rated hosts with good reviews. All you are looking for is uptime and bandwidth.
