Oh boy is it sure obvious the "filter is off". I'm pretty sure they're going to remain free because they've stated they're going to remain free. They stated they hate that they have to charge Xbox users for their updates, and they charge the absolute minimum that Microsoft will allow them.
Valve doesn't fit a traditional "business model", but really no game developer does. If you're really unhappy with the changes to TF2 since the initial release, don't buy any more Valve games and stop playing TF2 right now. Please.
