That seems like an awfully extreme viewpoint. If the gameplay itself is modified, I can understand, if it's something that adds potentially gamebreaking function. But if it doesn't grant a player who utilizes it an advantage in any way, what would be the issue? For an example, firework flares that do no damage? Just a fun little plugins like that are what can make a player come back... Not to the extent of the behavior of other players who are present, but its something that makes a server stand out above a strictly vanilla server.
