Have you reviewed http://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=11105 ? It looks like the only change is they don't want you using TextMode, the rest of the stipulations aren't new and were brought forth when Tony Paloma's idler was nuked. If I'm reading it correctly, you can still idle, just make sure you're using your GPU.
