Thats not very helpful unless you can provide the list with your .config
from this kernel so that we can find out WHICH kernel option is causing this
horrid cpu use.  For example, in the BF1942 beta's kernels compiled with SMP
support suffered from excessive cpu use when idle (to the order of 30-40%).

I suppose it could be the kernel, but why would 3.1.1.0 be half decent with
my 2.6.0-test2 kernel (and 2.4.2x and 2.5.7x) and 3.1.1.1+ not be, unless
there is some significant changes in there somewhere.

At any rate, it should not be kernel specific... surely there is an option
in there that is interacting poorly.
