And although no one has ever paid for the server software, all people who play on the servers and even those who run the servers have bought a copy of HL/CS. Here's a thought, try some Customer Service....it works well for a lot of companies. I rent game servers and have decided based soley on the attitude of correspondance here that I cannot support a game (Half-Life) that the dedicated server is not fully supported by the maker. I will also not carry HL2 game servers unless there is a big turn around in the attitude reflected on the CUSTOMERS who run servers for the community.
