I think as long as people enjoy playing cs there will be enough servers
because
all those cs guys have a clan (or more) and together they can easily rent a
server
without any knowledge. And why should the server companies say no? It is
quite simple:
If a game server takes too much cpu time, they increase their prices. Valve
spend a lot of
money in a system which makes online gaming easy for everybody. Some of the
guys who
used the old system say that it is waste of time but valve has to earn
money and so they
tested steam with cs for using it with cs:cz/hl2 etc. Maybe Valve takes all
his(or their? sry my
english is worse) knowledge from the hlds and will make a great hl2 server.

OT: please behave like those admins you want to have when you are playing
on server (which include being polite)
