My point was that they preserved themself the right to terminate the
license whenever they want - as long as there's no response from valve,
telling us that it's ok to use hl without won, it doesn't matter whether
there's a way to do so.

Talking about your security patch: It's as incomplete as mine and
Luigi's. But as I read Valves statement about closing WON by the end of
this month, I didn't bother with fixing more than necessary for the hlboom
PoC. If you're interested mail me off-list, or get in touch with me on
