The change of interest on the Linux side is we moved the compiler version forward significantly (to 4.2.4) for some of the binaries we compile so I would like to get coverage on the assorted OS installs you guys run (I am looking at your FreeBSD people).
This update should also siginifcantly reduce the "invalid ticket" style errors, but make sure your server can connect to Steam properly on startup. You should see "Connection to Steam servers successful" in your console on startup. You can ignore the: [S_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init() failed; unable to update local steamclient. Continuing with current version anyway. console message you see on startup, that is disabled by design right now. - Alfred > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:hlds- > [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jason Ruymen > Sent: Friday, August 29, 2008 1:44 PM > To: Half-Life dedicated Win32 server mailing list; > [email protected]; [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: [hlds] Counter-Strike 1.6 Beta Available > > There is a Counter-Strike 1.6 Beta available to all existing > Counter-Strike owners.
