WinXP Pro 32bit 12Mbits down 1Mbit Up
Yep. Yes and Yes. However, the question is not relevant as the flows are all UDP, not TCP. I'm not even gonna answer that one. I've done the trace routes. This has nothing to do with routing. It has to do with how many concurrent flows, or connections, are being made and staying concurrent, at any given time frame. Once it hits the limit, no more connections can be made until the 5 to 10 second interval passes. After that it goes up another 2-500 and then pauses again. What I find funny is, it never gets over 10,000 before stopping altogether. It's always somewhere between 4000 and 7000 even with no filters. That I don't like one bit. No I haven't. I'll try it though and see what happens. This isn't about me trying to find the right server, this is about me trying to make this browser work how it was designed to work. The COD4 browser works flawlessly. It doesn't kick out my internet connection nor does it every pause. Why does Valve's browser have an issue with my ISP's concurrent connection limit and Activision's doesn't? Why do you assume I'm the only one with the problem? I'm not. Just look on the steam forums. - Ian Cc2iscooL wrote: > What operating system are you running? > > How much bandwidth do you have up/down? > > I notice you have a lot of timed out hosts coming off your master > list...have you ever thought your internet provider is just poor/lines are > inadequate? > > Did you know Steam uses a geographical system + a system that fans out from > your IP address to get listings? > > Did you know Windows has a hardcoded limit of half-open connections at one > time?
