Hi Guys, Sorry if this has been answered already but I have had a quick look on the archives and found nothing that solves my problem.
srcds_i486 Left4Dead server is consistently segfaulting on every mapchange. Using -debug results in no useful information other than a pid file not existing/being writeable. srcds is being run as a non-priviledged user. Happens regardless of the map being played or game type. Other srcds-basd servers (Team Fortress 2/Counter-Strike Source) are working as desired. This issue only seems to affect the left4dead server executable. The error that is spat out is as follows; *./srcds_run: line 368: 29343 Segmentation fault $HL_CMD* I am attempting a fresh install of the left4dead server installation now, and will report if this solves the issue. The server in question is an AMD-based dual-core with 4GB of DDR2, PAE enabled The operating system is Debian 4.0r3 stable, kernel 2.6.25.11 i686 architecture libc is version 2.7 All other information can be provided on request. Thanks in advance. -- _______________________________________________________ Shane Arnold - [email protected] "For want of a nail, the horseshoe was lost.
