Hi All

We are running about 500 srcds and hlds servers behind a NATed firewall
which seems to be a problem for VAC, Content, Master or whatever servers
at valve. :-(

Most of the times the server startup just fine, but more and more often,
probably due to more and more gameservers, why either fail to start up
just hanging in the console somewhere close to, but before, these lines:

Adding master server 69.28.140.246:27011
Adding master server 72.165.61.189:27011

or the server starts up as it should but without VAC activated with a
message like this:

version : 1.0.0.34/7 3734 insecure (secure mode enabled, disconnected
from Steam3)

Im not sure it there are other versions of the "no VAC" message.
Rebooting the server several times often fix it where the VAC servers
eventually response to the request...

Im pretty sure it due to our setup where all the servers are originating
from just one IP, looking like some kind of attack on the valves server,
the request are being throttled or simply ignored/discarded. So does
anyone have a solution for the problem? Perhaps an email to the right
people at Valve to talk to about this problem?

Further more, does anyone know of some info about what servers, and in
what order, the gameservers need to or will connect to in order to start
up correctly?

Regards, Thomas @ DSRack
