On the total amount of players we have on our servers we see an extremely low
amount of cheaters. My expectations were that when TF went F2P we'd see a huge
influx of cheaters, but that didn't happen (yet).

The amount of aimbotters we have banned can be counted on 2 hands.

I am considering an approach like this also, as the current .dem file
unpacking we use is a bit cumbersome and a hassle to use.

But, just out of curiosity, how often do you guys see and ban actual
cheaters on your servers?

My setup is pretty new, and for the first couple of weeks, I ran to
spec every time someone called out HAXX, but I have yet to actually see
anyone who, by my perception, was actually cheating, and not just
playing really well. (Or, the aimbots are very, very sophisticated, and
my untrained eye does not know what to look for)

Is cheating / aimbotting / wallhacking actually a real problem, or are
the occurences few and far between?
