It should attempt to reconnect in few seconds. See the log file, maybe it helps. In Linux it is named connection_log_<port>.txt and should be located in /home/<user>/Steam/logs (<user> is the one used for running the server). The log file contains details about protocol (TCP/UDP), the IP of CM server, why disconnected etc... The most important line for you is "StartAutoReconnect() will start in XX seconds".
