I have a solution for the Item Server problems that many server owners deal with. The Item Server as of now isn't very reliable which is why i have a Local Item Server Mod installed on my servers. Here is the link:
http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=1747762 This will basically cache the item server of the user and when the item server goes down, the users weapons do not. This works really well and i dont see players complain anymore that my servers Item Server is not working.
