You have written in the past about your conditions... that you are low in histamine, that when you do not take your zinc supplements your symptoms get worse... Being low in histamine is a real condition that is treatable. You talk of having Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, MCS.

What does money have to do with a suggestion of positive visualization?  My post to you had nothing to do with money. Money is not bad. What is bad is when people are greedy.

One of the realities of my life as a parent is that i must provide for my daughter, and that involves money and it involves the sorts of sacrifices a parent makes for their child. Being able to pay for her school tuition, for example, means that i need to trade my "time" in return for money.

It is no less virtuous to be compensated for my work products in money than it is to be compensated for them by trade, say trading some household repairs for some computer work. Whether a person works for money or trades their skills for services, it all is the same - it is commerce. It is trading this for that.

And no one here was saying that people do not care about the environment. I was involved in the first Earth Day decades ago, studied ecology in college and been involved in environmental issues.

I have direct knowledge of one of the most heinous chemical misuses - the use of Agent Orange in VietNam. I personally worked on the project that compensated the VietNam vets and their surviving family for the suffering they experienced due to Agent Orange exposure and toxicity. I did programming that matched up a service person's location in VietNam and the days and places and times when Agent Orange was sprayed. And programming that determined eligibility for payment and generated payments and sent letters to the surviving family. There is nothing that would adequately compensate them, but it was a way of "trying" to provide some form of compensation. The medical records we reviewed were awful and demonstrate clearly what real chemical toxicity is all about.

I have encouraged my daughter to be ecologically aware and to participate - even as a high school student she has donated her time to working to clean up the Charles River here.

People here care for you.

Lobster suggested NLP or visualization and i agreed with him about the visualization techniques. Not to change you but to help you find some relief.

It is difficult to read through your complaints about other people's noises waking you up and NOT want to offer a suggestion to help you with that.

You complained about noises yesterday and so i suggested some solutions to help you find relief. You complain about noises again today and i still want to find solutions, because you point out that having your sleep interrupted creates other problems for you.

The workmen are not going to give up listening to radio while they work, and i understand what that is like becasue of some of my own hypersensitivities. So if they are not going to give up the radio noises, what choices do you have?

But you say that you are not trying to find solutions and so i won't suggest any.

But if you don't want solutions to things that can be made better (and many of them can), then does that mean that you are attached to the discomfort that you feel?

If there are ways to lessen that discomfort but you don't want suggestions on how to do that, what does that mean?

It is fine if you want to just talk about how it feels to be sensitive and if you want people to listen. Others here are highly sensitive, too, you know, and we do understand. And we can listen... but it is hard to not want to offer solutions that have worked for us, too.

love and peace,
joyce
