Sorry, Valerie, what kind of band is that ? Is it a band of people, who
think buying an instrument & get it tuned by the shopkeeper would be enough
and get it retuned during yearly or bi-yearly checkup ? But what about the
members,
who get a checkup every five years ?

Dont people ever have got ears, when born ? Do they know something, just
something about the intervals ?

Sorry, being harsh, but I have not heard about such stupid behavior, sorry.
What about the other notes, if the conductor let them play just a designated
note
and get that note tuned ? How about the other notes ?

Notes and notes ? If the one notes are not tuned well, one would not
earn the "other notes" never (bank notes).

Can we fall to a lower level ever ??????

Being enthusiastic about playing an instrument, is not enough.
One also has to care about the basic rules of music and the basic rules
of music making. It is not that difficult, as long as keeping discipline:
learning discipline, practice discipline & playing discipline.
