My lab uses a Noritsu 2301 optical (not digital) printer; however, what I can tell you from experience is that trying to match prints from one machine to another, and particularly from one paper brand to another, is often an exercise in futility: for example, Fuji paper is noticeably lower in contrast than Kodak. Agfa paper is (was) the highest contrast of all. Colors are also slightly different, and you just can't get them to totally match. Chemicals vary from day-to- day, and throughout each day in the same lab. Therefore prints are always "manipulated" by the lab, whether or not this is intentional. eric perkins ------------------------ Yahoo!
