from the info you gave I was able to get this to work. using XP Pro, with HPGL driver Ver 6.16.00 Data File V2 I printed a 15x21 image to the 5500 in photoshop, I picked paper size 36x48 and picked center image, the key is to check a box that says "Remove Top/Bottom Blank Areas" it printed and cut the image only from what you gave me for info, it should work. unless you are using PS of course or sending HPGL data from another source.

Our workflow relied on the "inked area" only feature of the DJ800s. The DJ5500 seems to use a different method to determine "inked area" which has caused us some problems. Our experience so far is that the DJ550 only trims white space "after" the inked area. It does nothing with regard to white space "before" the inked area. The DJ800s would trim white space on both ends. Is this the same experience for other DJ5500 users? Can this be adjusted in the settings? Or is this really the way "inked area" is handled on the DJ5500? - Karl Owens ----------------------------------------------- University of Oregon School of Architecture and Allied Arts Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:karlo%40uoregon.edu> Phone: (541) 346-0576 -----------------------------------------------
