Hi experts, I'm a graphic artist who recently purchased a DJ 130, and I am very happy with it.
However, mounting, laminating, etc. is something I know almost nothing about, as I've always sent out for large format prints. Basically, all I've done so far is spray-mount prints to foam-core I had laying around. I'm not looking to buy any big or expensive equipment, instead I'm seeking advice on materials and technique for low-budget in-house mounting. Maybe spray adhesive and Gatorboard is all I need to know? I'm guessing that I will just send my prints out when I need fancier lamination, etc., but perhaps there are low-budget ways for me to do this stuff in house too? If anyone has advice on mounting materials and techniques, or if you can suggest a book or website to learn more, please let me know. Cutting suggestions are welcome too (right now I use my light-table with a straight edge and a graphic-arts blade). Thanks!
