Yes this will work. Yet how one can have confidence in HP's abysmal QA on software upgrades is beyond me. For example for those with multiple HP printers on the same system , by doing the above routine you in fact will remove all your other HP software requiring a reinstall. After reinstalling all the other software many hours later you will be lucky if the 130's maintenance still works. Last time I looked mine is working so I'll cross my fingers with each upgrade to the other software that often break the 130's drivers which include the 9180, and Z3100 being the culprits.
