Phil,
The two flat plates at the top of the printer stand should each have a
single long screw pointing upwards, they hold the printer onto the plate and
stop it from sliding around. The long screws go into a threaded insert in
the base of the printer. The long screw has a plastic surround that looks
like you might be able to use it to turn the screw, but it's smooth and so
you can't use it like this. If you haven't got these then it's possible that
you are missing some parts, you might need to order them as spares.
