thanks Michael, I didn't know it just sits and doesn't drive anything. I have a stand so I could just have it sit in the spindle. I think the auto roll feed does help keep the paper aligned.....What else does this NOT do for $400 plus ? Thanks, Phil

Can you put the roll on the spindle (obviously it's not snug, it just rests there) and clear the back of the printer? The roll feed does nothing but hold the paper, it doesn't drive the paper in or out, so it might work just sitting there. Another option is to save the core from the paper that fits (after you've used it) and re-roll the odd paper onto it. You might also make inserts (two 3" circles of plywood with a 2" hole cut in it) to plug the ends of the roll. No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
