thanks Francis, It does look like I am missing some things. the 2 plates that go on the leg, as all I have are 2 legs/stand with 2 holes in each (have I been spelling holes with "w", wher eis my head?).
So yes I will need to order some parts it looks like. I will call HP tomorrow as I have no idea as to part#s and how to order online. Thanks for the reply and help. I installed the Roll feed. I have one roll paper that has a larger tube opening that doesn't work with this spindle. Would you know if they make the plastic parts with larger core holders? its a 24" C6950A.
