I fixed my printing problem: recompiled all foomatic-* then run foomatic-cleanupdrivers then run foomatic-compiledb (slow and lenghtly! 30mins) recompiled cups and hplip. then started printer setup in kde: 1. Add new printer 2. Next 3. Other type of printer 4. next 5. at the bottom: direct class: (detected HP printer should be visible) 6. KDE now rebuilds printer database. When rebuild is finished: 7. Cancel Now I can use hp-toolbox to add new printer. After detection of printer (when Next is clicked) it takes some time till hplip finishes reading huge foomatic database. Application looks frozen but after few minutes comes back with foomatic:your_printer.ppd And after finishing setup printing works.
My machine didn't liked hplip before so there must be easier fix for everyone who have not broken installation.
