Based on the "negotiated back to compatibility mode" syslog message, for some reason the ppdev/parport kernel module will not allow software ECP mode to be set.
What does the following command return? This tell us what pp support is recognized by the kernel. cat /proc/sys/dev/parport/parport0/modes This is basic parallel port functionality and we can't reproduce this problem in-house. What kind of PC or motherboard are you using? -dave > -----Original Message----- > From: Dan Phillips [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Tuesday, January 30, 2007 9:50 AM > To: Dan Phillips > Cc: Suffield, David; hplip-help@lists.sourceforge.net > Subject: Re: [Hplip-help] Resend: Officejet 1170c scanning hangs > > Has any progress been made on this? > > thanks > > Dan Phillips > > Dan Phillips wrote: > > Hi Dave, > > > > > > Thanks for replying. > > > > Here is some more information.
