I would like to change 6 from "If you are uploading a series of shows then post them one every two weeks." to "All hosts must leave 9 slots between their shows."

I agree with the motivation, but I'm not sure the replacement wording is as clear as intended.  I would have preferred something like "If you are uploading a series of shows, ensure there are at least two weeks between your chosen slots."

I agree that the 9 slots will be more for the automation to check, so how about "If you are multiple shows, then please least two weeks between your chosen slots."

The third is that it could be seen as a syndicated show, or building your own brand. We already have a policy of not syndicating shows, and another that HPR is a podcast, and not a podcast hosting platform.

Unfortunately, I have seen this ideal violated several times the past two years.

This policy is a difficult one to put into words. It's the difference between doing something for the benefit of HPR or doing something for yourself.

There is another host who cross-posts his own podcast episodes from an existing show he has created.

Cross posting shows is not allowed unless they are posted on HPR first. Please contact the janitors directly on which episode this is please (admin@hpr) and I'll investigate.

There is one host who always uploads music, and I believe he introduces it as a series.  .[snip].  I don't believe these fit with the overall HPR mission, and am mildly irritated when they get published.

If there is a question of the music been copyrighted then contact the janitors, but I think you're expressing a preference here rather than a HPR policy.

"The Tradition" of releasing music openly into the public domain is compatible with our free software licensing.

The shows are teaching and passing off the skills to other listeners, so it ticks the box of "dedicated to sharing knowledge"

Hackers have a long history of making instruments, circuit bending, any of jezras creations, etc.

And finally HPR has a long history of posting music.

There is no requirement for you to like the shows, that's why you have the delete key on your keyboard, but I'd argue those shows do indeed fulfill the overall HPR mission.
