Given that Michael was in Afghanistan the last time I heard from him, I think your assumptions about what he should be doing are a bit presumptuous. Nobody involved owes you or anyone else anything with regards to this project. The discussions about the new architecture took place on the discussion forums. I found the debate regarding the different parser generators in about a minute when I looked just now. > > This was a hobby project for me, graciously permitted by my > > employer. It's helps spread information about the project's future. I'm way too old for you to try to convert. My last "open source" project was written before there was such a term, back in the 80's. Most of the email I received in the early days was from people who couldn't write SQL statements, much less design a new engine. If there are more qualified developers here now, great, but my early decision was based on what was happening at the time. Now you're free to do it your way, any ranting about how it was done previously is a waste of time and energy. > I will write a proposal to the group so we can decide what to do.
