The original hsql site has changed since that time. Thomas Mueller hasn't said anything on the list, but I think it's a clear message about the terms of licesning when it's on the front page of the site. > You and other > contributors are entitled to have a continued interest in license issues but > it cannot be allowed to disrupt the progress of the project. How can you have such blatant disregard for the terms of the original license? You can't just change the license, it's _illegal_! It's unlikely that Thomas Mueller is going to come after you for clearly violating the terms of the original license but it's the spirit in which the change was made. There's no logical reason for it so the question has to be asked why? And why switched to the HSQL Development Group? What that entity pertains to is very relevant. The only thing that's relevant at the moment. Again I would urge anyone to reconsider any sort of participation in this project when there is such a visible disregard for common open source practices. The license violation firstly, and the very clique like nature of the project. I know of several cases, after being on this list and talking with people, where people trying contribute were not treated with a very much respect. Development is not raging onward so for anyone wishing to continue working with this code base deserves an answer. Again, it is unlikely that Thomas Mueller would come after anyone using the product but he would have legal grounds to do so. > Fred Toussi > > > _______________________________________________ > hsqldb-developers mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/hsqldb-developers -- jvz.
