Again I am not going to discuss license issues or let it disrupt the development of the code. Michael Cannon will hopefully be back in January and follow that up. I am just stating some facts regarding this:
Our license has not changed since the beginning of the HSQLDB project. Our web site clearly states at the top of the home page that it is a continuation of Hypersonic and has had a clear and prominent link to the new home page of Hypersonic since this page was introduced. This is in addition to the link to the Hypersonic project that we had from the beginning. The Hypersonic project page contains a news item dated 26 March 2001 by Thomas Mueller that mentions and links to HSQLDB. The Open Discussion Forum for HSQLDB contains a recent thread discussing a commercial product based on our code. In it, Thomas states his opinions relating to the licence. We have read Thomas's contributions and would always respect his opinion. We certainly don't need to know about your presumptions regarding someone else's position. To everyone, please limit your posts in this list to development issues. There is a separate list and a forum for licence discussions.
