Hmmm... I still get errors. Keep in mind I'm using 10.1 which appears to 
have made significant low-level changes. The error I get is on make:

make[1]: *** [Configuration.o] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 1

I have no idea what this refers to, except that perhaps there is a problem 
in the Configuration.o file.

I can say that errors start to appear following the line that says:

/bin/rm -f libdb.a

>From that point on it all looks like bad output. Wish I knew more about 
this. I'd work harder to try and debug, but I'm really dependent upon 
someone with more experience.
