I would say , however persuasive and in depth your work Vic  whilst 
appreciated by many, the Hum can still be heard underground and also in 
Faraday cages.
I think elsewhere it's been commented that Faraday cages do not block UHF 
but the ELF component of your harmonics would be generated close to the 
power lines and I can't see spurious UHF traveling  cross country to 
permeate a Faraday cage  and build up  subharmonics to the same degree as 
done locally, at source.
OK- I don't have the maths to clarify this, but neither do you have the 
local conditions other than your studies, elsewhere in the world. 
particularly in specific cases as mentioned here.
I'm not saying you are wrong in your proposals on raw principles , just 
that the dispersal of harmonic energy can't be proven, and further- can't 
be assumed to apply everywhere where the local conditions are unknown.
ie: Co-incidence is not causality- and you  can't even argue co-incidence, 
without backup data.
Yes, it takes courage to take 'them on' -but rationality must still play 
its part.
